One Ukrainian serviceman killed amid 9 enemy attacks in Donbas over past day
The Ukrainian army has seen nine attacks on the Donbas contact line in the past 24 hours, one Ukrainian soldier was killed, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said.
"The number of hostile attacks has reduced, yet weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements were used again. One serviceman of the Joint Forces was killed in the hostilities, no one was injured," the press center wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
Over the past day, the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions outside Stanytsia Luhanska, Avdiyivka, Maryinka, Starohnativka, Pavlopil, Vodiane and Hnutove.
Russian-occupation troops fired 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms on Ukrainian strongholds outside Avdiyivka. JFO positions near Pavlopil and Vodiane came under automatic and mounted grenade launcher and small arms fire.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, one militant was killed and four others were injured.
