U.S. National Guardsman is second victim of SU-27 crash in Vinnytsia region – General Staff
The General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces has confirmed the death of U.S. National Guardsman, the second casualty in the Su-27 plane crash in Vinnytsia on Tuesday.
"The second member of the crew was a member of the U.S. National Guard's Air Force," the update reads on the Armed Forces' Facebook page on Wednesday.
As earlier reported, a Su-27 plane of the Armed Forces of Ukraine crashed during the execution of a combat training flight in the area of the village of Ulaniv (Vinnytsia region) on Tuesday afternoon.
"Today, at about 17:00, Su-27 plane has crashed during the combat training flight in the area of the village of Ulaniv (between the settlements of Berdychiv and Khmilnyk). Search and rescue activities are being carried out," the General Staff said on Facebook on Tuesday evening.
