Poroshenko checking Ukrainian army's readiness to repel enemy on Azov Sea coast
Ukrainian President Petro пороPoroshenko is checking in Donetsk region the readiness of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to repel a conditional enemy on the coast of the Azov Sea.
"Military exercises on defending the coast of the Azov Sea. Testing the readiness of forces and troops to resist possible Russian aggression from the sea," Poroshenko wrote on his Facebook page on Friday.
The president is on a working visit to Donetsk region on Friday.
Ukrainian Navy Commander Ihor Voronchenko said in August that the deployment of additional forces of the marines and coastal artillery to the Azov Sea and reinforcement of naval groups were expected in the near future.
