People evacuated from 38 settlements because of explosions at ammo depot near Ichnia
People from 38 settlements in Ichnia and Pryluky districts are being evacuated due to explosions at the sixth arsenal of ammunition in Chernihiv region, Chernihiv Regional State Administration has stated.
"A fire broke out at the ammo depot in the town of Druzhba in Ichnia district at 03:30 on October 9, 2018. The evacuation of people from a number of settlements in Ichnia and Pryluky districts has been started," the administration said.
People are evacuated from 31 settlements of Ichnia district, namely Ichnia, Druzhba, Avhustivka, Bezvodivka, Budy, Hrabiv, Luchkivka, Peliukhivka, Chervone, Burimka, Bezborodkiv, Shylovychi, Olshana, Nova Olshana, Tarasivka, Hmyrianka, Horodnia, Huzhivka, Zaudaika, Korshaky, Monastyrysche, Vepryk, Sezky, Heitsy, Dziubivka, Kolomyitseve, Tyshkivka, Khayenky, Voronivka, and Kikoly.
The population is also evacuated from seven rural settlements of Pryluky district: Lisovi Sorochyntsi, Strelnyky, Obychiv, Zaudaika, Radkivka, Kolesnyky, and Levky.
