About 88,000 tonnes of ammunition stored at arms depots in Chernihiv region
About 88,000 tonnes of ammunition are stored at the warehouses of the sixth arsenal of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry near the town of Druzhba in Chernihiv region where a fire broke out early on Tuesday, the press service of the State Emergency Service has reported.
"The area of the sixth arsenal is about 682.6 hectares, of which the technical territory is 402 hectares. There are about 88,000 tonnes of ammunition at the warehouses," the report says.
