Five Ukrainian troops injured amid 24 enemy attacks in Donbas over past day
Russian-backed militants have launched 24 attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops, wounding five Ukrainian servicemen, the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) has reported.
"In total, Russian-led forces mounted 24 attacks on the Ukrainian army, including from the weapons banned by the Minsk Agreements. Five members of the Joint Forces have been wounded amid hostilities," the JFO staff said on Facebeook on Wednesday morning.
The enemy attacked Ukrainian positions near Stanytsia Luhanska, Krymske, Zolote, Katerynivka, Novoluhanske, Zaitseve, Pisky, Taramchuk, Hnutove, Vodiane, Lebedysnke, and Shyrokyne.
Russian-led forces opened aimed fire, using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. In particular, JFO positions near Hnutove came under 82mm mortar fire.
According to the intelligence, two militants were killed, six more were wounded.
