Rada backs increase in composition of CEC to 17 people
The Verkhovna Rada has increased the number of members of the Central Election Commission (CEC) from 15 to 17 members.
Some 236 parliamentarians voted for corresponding bill No. 9090 "On Amending Article 6 of the Law of Ukraine On the Central Election Commission" on Tuesday.
"Thus, all factions and groups in the parliament will have their representatives in the CEC," the author of the bill, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy said.
