MFA prepares documents package to denounce treaty on friendship, cooperation with Russia
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has prepared a package of documents for the denunciation of the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership with Russia, concluded in 1997, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said.
"These documents have already been prepared, the whole package. We've processed it. We'll submit it formally very soon," Klimkin told journalists in Kyiv on Thursday.
On August 28, President Petro Poroshenko said he was expecting the Foreign Ministry to submit a package of documents on initiating the termination of the agreement.
