JFO HQ reports 2 WIA amid 26 enemy attacks in Donbas in past 24 hours
Russian-backed militants have launched 26 attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas in last day, with two wounded in action (WIA), the press service of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) has reported.
"The enemy opened fire 26 times on the positions of our troops, including four times with weapons banned by Minsk agreements... The militants opened fire from 120-mm and 82-mm mortar shells, tanks, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. Two Ukrainian defenders were injured," the JFO staff said on Facebook on Tuesday morning.
The enemy shelled Ukrainian positions near such populated localities as: the villages of Stanytsia Luhanska, Krymske, Zolote, Luhanske, Avdiyivka, Novomykhailivka, Krasnohorivka, Hnutove, Pavlopil, Vodiane, and Shyrokyne.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, three enemy troops were eliminated, another four were wounded in the past day.
