Merkel, Trump speak by phone, paying attention to Syria, Ukraine, trade
German Chancellor Angela Merkel and U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday discussed trade issues, the situation in Syria and in Ukraine by phone, representative of the German government Steffen Seibert has reported.
Chancellor Angela Merkel and .S. President Donald Trump today in the afternoon spoke by phone. The politicians are concerned about the humanitarian situation in Syria region Idlib, he said.
He also said that Trump and Merkel discussed Ukraine and the situation in the western Balkan region.
