U.S. will not directly support, financially support political candidates in Ukraine – Chaly
The United States will not support any concrete candidates during the next presidential elections in Ukraine, Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Valeriy Chaly has said.
"I don't know if there is personal support or not now… I think there will be no direct financial or other support, because that would be tantamount to interference in Ukraine's internal affairs," Chaly said on Monday during a Press Club XIII meeting of foreign diplomats in Kyiv on Monday.
Chaly said there may be meetings and political support for the candidate, who is ready to continue the current foreign policy of Ukraine.
