Yovanovitch calls initiative to create Veterans Affairs Ministry in Ukraine 'important step'
The initiative to create the Ministry of Veterans Affairs in Ukraine is an important step, and the process of its formation can be a good example of cooperation between the government and civil society, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch has said.
The decision to create the Ministry for Veterans Affairs was an important step, she said, speaking at the International Volunteer and Veterans Forum "Ukraine Is Where We Are" in Kyiv on Wednesday.
According to Yovanovitch, the involvement of civil society activists in the formation of a new ministry is a positive example of cooperation between the government and civil society.
