U.S. donates two more counter-battery radars to Ukrainian military
The U.S. government has transferred another batch of military equipment to the Ukrainian Armed Forces - two counter-battery radars, according to the Facebook page of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The transfer ceremony was held in Kyiv on Friday with the participation of U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.
Chief of the General Staff Viktor Muzhenko said that U.S. assistance in equipping the Ukrainian army with modern models of military equipment, as well as in training personnel for their maintenance and repair, "is a critical factor in the process of military reform."
"Ukraine has become the first country to which the U.S. has granted permission to service and repair such radars. This once again underlines that servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are able to use high-tech weapons," Muzhenko added.
