Denisova: Ukraine and Georgia will cooperate in matters of displaced persons
Ukraine and Georgia will cooperate in the matters of internally displaced persons, Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova has stated.
"One of the most acute issues for Ukraine today is the issue of internally displaced people. And the experience of other countries is very important for us. Therefore today at a meeting with Ambassador of Georgia Gela Dumbadze we've agreed on cooperation in this direction," she wrote on Facebook.
She noted that Georgia has extensive experience in paying pensions and calculating the needs of internally displaced persons.
"Mr. Gela Dumbadze said that the Georgian side is ready to cooperate and exchange experience," Denisova said.
