Ukrainian serviceman killed during engineer reconnaissance in JFO zone

Illegal armed groups violated the ceasefire in Donbas nine times from 07.00 until 18.00 on Friday, and one Ukrainian serviceman was killed in a trip wire explosion during engineer reconnaissance, the press center of the headquarters of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) has said.

"During the current day from 07.00 to 18.00, Russian occupation troops violated the ceasefire nine times [...] A Joint Forces serviceman was killed in a trip wire explosion during engineer reconnaissance," the JFO HQ said in a report on its Facebook page.

Militants opened fire from IFV weapons, grenade launchers, heavy machineguns and small arms on the positions of the Joint Forces near Krymske, Zolote, Mayorsk, Avdiyivka, Maryinka, Lebedynske, Hnutove, Pavlopil and Shyrokyne.

"The situation in the area of the operation remains under control," the press center said.
