JFO commander calls on OSCE to strengthen SMM's effectiveness in occupied areas in Donbas
Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Commander Serhiy Nayev has informed Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Thomas Greminger about the situation with militants' non-compliance with the ceasefire in Donbas.
According to a report posted on the Facebook page of the JFO, a respective meeting was held in Bakhmut, Donetsk region, on Friday.
"During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to the observance of a comprehensive, sustainable and lasting ceasefire declared on July 1. In addition, the Joint Forces commander briefed Greminger on the humanitarian situation in Donbas and called for strengthening the effectiveness of the OSCE SMM to Ukraine in the areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions occupied by the Russian occupation forces," the report says.
Nayev also drew attention to constant violations of the established ceasefire by militants, using weapons banned by the Minsk agreements.
