MPs initiate healthcare reform efficiency audit

A draft resolution on applying the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine regarding the healthcare reform efficiency audit has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The initiator of the relevant document, registered in the parliament on July 23, was Serhiy Kaplin (the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction).

The draft document also provides for an appeal to the Cabinet regarding taking measures to increase the salaries of medical workers by increasing the tariff levels of a single tariff scale, as well as the possibility of establishing an allowance for the prestige of labor in the amount of 20% of the salary from 2019.

The text of the document also refers to the need for the government to submit a proposal on the candidate of the Minister of Health to the Rada.

If the document is adopted, the Cabinet will inform the parliament about the state of implementation of the measures before October 15 this year.
