Cabinet to allocate UAH 100,000 to families of Ukrainian political prisoners held in Russia
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will make a decision on Thursday to allocate UAH 100,000 to the families of Ukrainians held in Russia for political reasons, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said.
"We will take a decision today to support the families of political prisoners and allocate UAH 100,000 to each family," he said at a government meeting on Thursday.
He said that these families have a lot of expenses that they need to cover.
Groysman also thanked Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova for the all-round support of Ukrainian political prisoners held in Russia.
