Latest tests of projectiles for Ukraine's Hiatsynt artillery system successful
The latest stage of tests of large-caliber projectiles for the Hiatsynt artillery system, designed and produced by the Ukroboronprom State Concern, has been successful, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.
"Live high-explosive fragmentation projectiles were used during live-fire trials at a testing site in Chernihiv region, while an advanced ballistic radar, manufactured by a NATO member country, was used to assess the ballistic features of the projectiles," Poroshenko wrote on his Facebook page.
These projectiles are intended for the Hiatsynt, which is one of the most far-ranging artillery systems boasting high accuracy and an operational range of up to 30 kilometers, the president said.
"We continue to strengthen the defense capacity of the Ukrainian army," Poroshenko said.
