Poroshenko to take part in events on occasion of 1030th anniversary of Kyivan Rus-Ukraine christening on July 28
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will take part in the celebrations of the 1030th anniversary of the baptism of Kyivan Rus-Ukraine on Saturday, July 28.
A state event on the occasion of the 1030th anniversary of the baptism of Kyivan Rus–Ukraine will begin at 8:30 on July 28 in the Mariinsky Palace, the presidential website reported.
"Prayer for Ukraine" procession will begin at about 11:30, which is organized by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate (UOC-KP).
At 13:00 the president will speak at the Volodymyr Hill at the monument to Prince Volodymyr the Great.
