Pentagon to continue manufacture of anti-tank complexes for Ukraine, other countries
The Pentagon has signed a contract worth more than $307.5 million for the production of anti-tank missile systems Javelin for deliveries abroad, the headquarters website has said.
Complexes are planned to be delivered to Ukraine, Australia, Estonia, Lithuania, Taiwan and Turkey.
In accordance with the contract, the production of this batch of complexes should be completed by August 31, 2021. The production will be handled by the consortium Raytheon-Lockheed Martin Javelin.
The administration of President Donald Trump approved the sale of lethal weapons to Ukraine in 2017, the first batch of Javelin has already been delivered.
