Heavenly Hundred memorial planned opening in Kyiv set for February 2019
A memorial to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred will be opened in Kyiv on February 20, 2019, Director General of the National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity Ihor Poshyvailo has said.
He said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday that the international architectural complex for the best design for the National Memorial to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred project was completed on June 27.
"By order of the Cabinet, we were tasked with doing preparatory work to begin to implement the project of the winner in the first nomination - the Memorial of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred," he said.
Poshyvailo said: "The opening of the Memorial is scheduled for February 20, 2019, the fifth anniversary of the tragic events on the Maidan."
According to him, in October, work will start on the arrangement of the Alley of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
