Russia's responsibility inevitable, terrorism must be punished - Poroshenko on anniversary of flight MH17 crash
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said that the Russian Federation must certainly be punished for the shooting down of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17, which occurred four years ago.
"It's four years since a Russian missile hit flight MH17 flight [...] I am confident that the responsibility of the Russian Federation is inevitable. Terrorism must be condemned by the entire international community and punished," he wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.
He also expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the plane crash four years ago.
The Boeing 777 operated by Malaysia Airlines, en route from Amsterdam (the Netherlands) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), was shot down in the sky over Donetsk region on July 17, 2014. There were 298 people on board. All of them died.
