Militants attack Ukrainian positions in Donbas 19 times, wound one serviceman
Militants have fired on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces 19 times over the past 24 hours, including once from a weapon banned by the Minsk agreements, wounding one serviceman, the press service of the headquarters of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) reported early on Tuesday.
According to the report, illegal armed groups were active in certain areas and fired on the defenders of Krymske, Svitlodarsk, Avdiyivka, Nevelske, Opytne, Maryinka, Krasnohorivka, Vodiane, Hnutove, Lebedynske, and Shyrokyne.
"At the same time, in the area of Hnutove the enemy used an 82mm mortar, launching three mines in the direction of our defenders," the report says.
It notes that with its actions the enemy was trying to force Joint Forces servicemen to return fire.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, two militants were wounded.
