Ukrainian and U.S. Presidents Petro Poroshenko and Donald Trump held a meeting as part of the summit of the leaders of the NATO member countries in Brussels on Thursday.
"Yes, there was a meeting," a diplomatic source in the administration of the Ukrainian president told the Interfax-Ukraine news agency, noting that the meeting was scheduled and lasted about 20 minutes.
There is as yet no official information about the meeting between the Ukrainian and U.S. leaders.
At the same time, the Yevropeiska Pravda online media outlet, citing its own sources, reported that Poroshenko and Trump "discussed a wide range of issues, including Nord Stream 2, and further cooperation in the defense sphere."
Meanwhile, a number of Western media outlets report that Trump cancelled a number of bilateral meetings as part of the Brussels summit of the North Atlantic Alliance.
