Opposition Bloc to hold 'primaries' in autumn to determine presidential candidate - Vilkul
A co-chairman of the Opposition Bloc faction in the Ukrainian parliament, Oleksandr Vilkul, has said that the party will determine this autumn a candidate for presidential elections in 2019 by holding "primaries."
"The presidential elections are very serious and responsible elections. I can say the same thing that Yuriy Boiko, Vadim Novinsky said, and I said it many times. This autumn the Opposition Bloc will hold the so-called 'primaries' and the decision will be made who will run for president. It's obvious that it should be a person who will enjoy maximum respect, confidence, and who will be able to win," he said on the program "Freedom of Speech" on the ICTV channel late on Monday, July 9.
"As for me, if they decide that I'm running, then I will not try to train there, as there's no time to train. I would not want to select someone's votes. If you run, you need only to win," Vilkul said.
