Rada calls on world community to impose new sanctions against Russia in connection with another sentence on Sushchenko
The Verkhovna Rada condemns the sentence of the Moscow City Court of the Russian Federation on Ukrainian citizen Roman Sushchenko and calls on the world community to impose sanctions against Russia in connection with the verdict and the continuation of political persecution.
Draft resolution (No. 8446) on appeals to the parliaments of foreign countries, parliamentary assemblies of international organizations, world leaders and the world community was supported by 238 parliamentarians at a plenary session on Thursday evening, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.
