Turchynov counts on adoption of national security law by parliament next plenary week
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov expects that the Verkhovna Rada will adopt the law on national security at the second reading and in the whole the next plenary week.
"I hope that in the near future, perhaps the nearest plenary week, we will be able to pass a bill on national security that actually provides for the transition to the European, NATO model of the military sector, security and defense," Turchynov said during the IX National Expert Forum on Thursday.
He stressed that the bill was developed in the expert community of international partners and NATO.
According to the schedule of work of the Verkhovna Rada, the next plenary week will be held from June 19 to June 22.
