Court finally schedules debates on Yanukovych high treason case for July 30-31
Obolonsky District Court of Kyiv has appointed judicial debates in the case on charges of former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych with high treason on July 30 and July 31.
"The court has determined the final date of the judicial debate - this is July 30 and July 31, 2018. If we do not have enough time to debate over these days, the reserve date is August 1. If you [lawyers] do not turn up, the court on July 30 will clarify to Viktor Yanukovych that if you fail to appear, the court will raise the issue of bringing a lawyer from the secondary legal aid center," presiding judge Vladyslav Deviatko said, finishing a meeting on Wednesday.
