JFO HQ reports 3 WIA amid 31 enemy attacks in Donbas over past day
Over the past day, June 5, Russian proxy forces in eastern Ukraine violated the ceasefire regime 31 times with three Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action (WIA) in enemy attacks, the press service of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) has reported.
"The situation remained tense in the vicinity of Prichepylivka, Krymske, and Novotoshkivske in the Luhansk sector, as well as Opytne and Novotroyitske in the Donetsk sector, where Russian-occupation troops employed 120mm and 82mm mortars 11 times, proscribed by the Minsk accords," the press service of the Joint Forces Operation HQ said in its update on Facebook as of 07:00 of Wednesday morning.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, two militants were killed and four wounded.
Ongoing hostilities involving automatic weapons are reported outside Lebedynske and Shyrokyne near the strategic port town of Mariupol.
Also, the JFO reported on the shooting down of an enemy drone.
