Poroshenko to pay official visit to Spain on June 2-4
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will make an official visit to Spain on June 2-4, the press service of the head of state has reported.
Poroshenko is due to meet with King Felipe VI of Spain, newly appointed Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, President of the Congress of Deputies Ana Maria Pastor, and representatives of the Spanish business community.
During the visit, the president and representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora in Spain will take part in a prayer for peace in Ukraine, which will be held at the Almudena Cathedral in Madrid.
Poroshenko is also expected to visit the Galicia region, where a meeting with President of the Regional Parliament of Galicia Alberto Nunez Feijoo will be held.
This will be the first official visit by Ukraine's president to Spain over the past 22 years.
