SBU prevented numerous casualties through Babchenko operation
By uncovering preparations to kill Russian journalist Arkady Babchenko and commit a terrorist attack, Ukrainian intelligence has managed to prevent numerous casualties, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said.
"The Ukrainian Security Service [SBU] is sure that without all the measures that were undertaken, there would have been further killings, and they would have been impossible to prevent. As long as the investigation is moving ahead, the Prosecutor General's Office will continue to inform the public and the international community about what has been prevented," Klimkin said at a joint press conference with German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas in Mariupol on Friday.
Russian security services use absolutely all methods in their activities, Klimkin said. "Russia's destabilization tactics include absolutely all measures, and we should be prepared to oppose this," Klimkin said.
