Poroshenko orders 24-hour security for journalist Babchenko, his family

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has congratulated the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) on the happy ending of the special operation aimed at protecting Russian journalist Arkady Babchenko and ordered that he and his family be guarded around the clock.

"I congratulate the SBU. You have conducted a brilliant operation to protect the life of Russian journalist Arkady Babchenko. [...] Moscow is hardly likely to settle down - I have ordered that Arkady and his family be provided with 24-hour security," Poroshenko wrote on Facebook on Wednesday evening.

Every day, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies become stronger "while opposing the Russian aggression and all manifestations of hybrid warfare in Ukraine," Poroshenko said.
