Johnson offers condolences over killing of Russian journalist Babchenko in Kyiv
British Secretary of State for Foreign & Commonwealth Affairs Boris Johnson offers condolences over the killing of Russian journalist Arkady Babchenko in Kyiv.
"Appalled to see another vocal Russian journalist, Arkady Babchenko, murdered. My thoughts are with his wife and young daughter. We must defend freedom of speech and it is vital that those responsible are now held to account," Johnson said on Twitter on Wednesday, May 30.
Arkady Babchenko, a Russian citizen and ATR television channel host, was shot and killed near his apartment in Kyiv's Dniprovsky district in the evening of May 29.
