Ukrainian president, Bulgarian PM make arrangement to train teachers for schools with Bulgarian language
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov have made an arrangement to train teachers in Ukraine and Bulgaria for national schools.
"We have decided to solve the issues of teacher training both in Ukraine and Bulgaria. We agreed that we are developing national schools," Poroshenko told reporters in Kyiv on Saturday.
In turn, Borisov said that Bulgaria and Ukraine should train teachers for schools with the Bulgarian language.
According to him, the law of Ukraine on education "opens up great opportunities for citizens of Bulgarian origin."
In addition, Poroshenko announced that an agreement to visit Bolhrad (Odesa region) was reached with the Bulgarian prime minister.
"Together we will visit Ukrainian citizens of Bulgarian origin (Bolhrad) which make a lot of efforts for the prosperity of Ukraine, create a bridge of friendship between our countries, so we must take care of them," Borisov said.
