Prosecutors collect in Donbas enough evidence of Russia's financing terrorism, armed aggression against Ukraine

 Employees of the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) of Ukraine staying in the area of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) in Donbas have documented the murders of 34 people and injuries of 28 more, the destruction and damage of numerous buildings committed by Russian officers and generals over the year of work, and will soon hand over materials to the International Criminal Court.

According to a report published by the press center of the JFO headquarters on its Facebook page on Tuesday, May 22, this information was reported to Joint Forces Commander Serhiy Nayev by Bohdan Orynchuk, the head of the unit for procedural control over criminal proceedings of the investigation bodies of law and order of the PGO department for investigating crimes committed in temporarily occupied territories.

Orynchuk noted that prosecutors had already documented human rights violations over the year of work in the JFO area. In particular, it was established that 34 people had been killed, 28 people had been injured, 217 residential houses, 36 other facilities of civil infrastructure and 12 vehicles had been destroyed and damaged. More than 300 different expert examinations of seized items have been conducted. The pretrial investigation established the involvement of 12 people in committing crimes against the civilian population.

The report notes that during the conversation attention was paid to the comprehensive recording of facts of Russian armed aggression, first of all the shelling of populated areas and other objects of civil infrastructure in Donetsk and Luhansk regions and financing of terrorism by Russia.

"At present, there is enough evidence collected, and it will soon be sent to the International Criminal Court," the report says.
