Rada to pass bill on Anti-Corruption Court with Venice Commission recommendations - Mingarelli
Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli believes that there is every reason for the Verkhovna Rad to pass a bill on the Anti-Corruption Court in the next few days, in accordance with the recommendations of the Venice Commission.
He said at the presentation of the Corruption Park in Kyiv on Tuesday, May 22, that this very important element of the anticorruption chain would work as soon as possible.
Mingarelli also noted that European partners were cooperating and were ready to share their experience of fighting corruption.
He stressed the need to ensure the rule of law, which he said is a multifaceted task, but the fight against corruption is at the core.
He said that one of the main goals of the EU was to help Ukrainian colleagues create an open democratic society.
Mingarelli also said that the fight against corruption was a matter for all segments of the population, including politicians, economists, and civil society.
