MFA demands Moscow release more than 60 political prisoners held in Russia, occupied Crimea
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine demands from the Russian Federation to release at least 24 Ukrainian political prisoners held in Russia and more than 40 Ukrainians held in the occupied Crimea.
"At least 24 Ukrainians are political prisoners in the Russian Federation, more than 40 ones are held in the occupied Crimea. We once again demand that the Russian Federation release captives," Ukraine's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mariana Betsa wrote on Twitter on Sunday morning.
On the third Sunday in May, Ukraine hosts commemorative events timed to the Day of Remembrance for Victims of Political Repressions.
