Hrytsak shows Volker evidence of Russian aggression, torture in Donbas
Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) continues to collect and publish testimonies about Russian armed aggression against Ukraine, as well as the facts of physical violence and torture in temporarily occupied territories of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
"The stories of 42 other former hostages who were illegally detained by militants in inhuman conditions and tortured from 189 to 1,083 days have been published in our most recent bulletin. This is the sixth documentary edition prepared according to the results of a survey by the special services of liberated Ukrainian citizens," SBU's press service said on Thursday.
SBU Head Vasyl Hrytsak presented U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker with a copy of the bulletin in Kyiv.
According to the most recent bulletin, the identities of six militants responsible for torturing captured Ukrainian soldiers have been established.
According to the SBU press service, the bulletins are published in three languages, Ukrainian, Russian and English, and are based on 435 eyewitness accounts of Russian atrocities committed in eastern Ukraine.
