MP Friz says about subversive activities of UOC (MP) in Donbas, urges SBU to react
etro Poroshenko Bloc member Iryna Friz has announced the subversive activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) in the east of the country and called on law enforcement agencies to look at this issue more closely.
"Today the church of the Moscow Patriarchate, in the face of day, is playing the role of the "fifth column" in the East. I am convinced that such actions should receive an adequate response from law enforcement bodies, in particular the SBU, for subversive activities against our state, which is aimed at splitting society and discrediting authorities," the press service of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc quoted Friz as saying.
The MP claims that the priests of the UOC (MP) "openly call for a rebellion against the Ukrainian authorities."
"The priests of the Moscow Patriarchate disgrace Ukraine's aspirations for the local church, except that they don't anathematize all those who started this process," she said.
The MP urged the Security Service of Ukraine to pay more attention to the activation of the "subversive activities" of the clergy of the UOC (MP) in the east of Ukraine, because, in her statement, besides appeals not to support and oppose the Ukrainian authorities, they distribute leaflets with provocative and manipulative content.
