U.S. to provide another $125 mln to Donbas, territories affected by Russian aggression
The United States will provide additional assistance in the amount of $125 million to Donbas and adjacent territories affected by Russian aggression.
USAID Assistant Administrator for Europe and Eurasia Brock Bierman said at a press conference in Sloviansk, Donetsk region, on Tuesday that the USAID program worth $125 million would help create economic opportunities for new and existing enterprises in the region.
The United States, and USAID in particular, will continue to help Ukrainians achieve security and prosperity, he added.
Bierman, U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch and Head of the Donetsk Regional Military and Civil Administration Pavlo Zhebrivsky took part in the opening of the Coworking & Event Space TOP SPACE, where business and cultural events, as well as training master classes, will be held.
"I am convinced that such cities as Sloviansk have great prospects, but only when the genotype of the Ukrainian is restored," Zhebrivsky said.
