Investigators establish identities of Russian officers who provided weapons to Savchenko
Ukrainian investigators have established the names of the Russian military officers, who supplied Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deputy Nadiia Savchenko with weapons for the commission of the terrorist attack, Ukraine's Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko has said.
"Colonels of the Russian armed forces are behind the military units from which weapons were dispatched to carry out the terrorist attack. We know their names, and they will be included in the criminal proceedings," Lutsenko said on Friday.
On March 23, Kyiv's Shevchenkivsky District Court remanded Savchenko to pretrial detention until May 20. Savchenko declared a hunger strike the same day.
On March 29, the Kyiv's Appeals Court turned down Savchenko's appeal.
On April 17, Savchenko took a lie-detector test.
