Motor traffic in Yerevan has virtually stopped and there are problems with the metro, an Interfax correspondent has reported.
Residents of all Yerevan neighborhoods joined the strike declared by Nikol Pashinyan, leader of the protest movement and head of the parliamentary faction Elk, and followed the calls to block roads to traffic.
The motorways leading to Yerevan have been closed. The entrances to the buildings of some state agencies, specifically, the Justice Ministry, the Culture Ministry and the Education Ministry, have been blocked.
