Pro-Ukrainian activists prevent May 1 march from happening in Odesa
Several dozen pro-Russian activists, mostly senior citizens, have held a May 1 rally near the Odesa Opera Theater.
According to an Interfax-Ukraine reporter, these people have been participating in events ideologically related to Russia for years, and they took part in pro-Russian actions in 2013-2014 as well. This time they demanded higher salaries, lower tariffs, and decent pensions.
The activists tried to march to Kulykove Pole after the rally but were stopped by pro-Ukrainian activists. The sides had an argument, and the march was called off.
