No Ukraine-NATO commission meeting scheduled this week
A meeting of the Ukraine-NATO commission at the level of foreign ministers will not be held this week, however close cooperation of the alliance and Kyiv will continue, the NATO press service said on Monday.
"For the time being, no further meetings of the NATO-Ukraine Commission are scheduled. But Ukraine is an important partner for NATO and our dialogue continues," the report said.
Earlier media reported Hungary again blocked the meeting of the Ukraine-NATO commission at the level of foreign ministers. The meeting of the alliance at the level of the foreign ministers is scheduled in Brussels for April 27. Kyiv planned to hold a meeting of the commission in its framework.
The blocking of Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic initiatives by Budapest began in late 2017 as a response to the adoption of the law on education, which contains the so-called "language article."
