The inauguration of Ilham Aliyev, who was elected president of Azerbaijan in the extraordinary election on April 11, took place in Baku on Wednesday, Azerbaijani official media reported.
The Constitutional Court earlier approved Aliyev's election in the April 11 extraordinary presidential election.
According to earlier reports, Aliyev received 86.02% of votes and was elected president of Azerbaijan for the fourth time.
According to the changes made to the Azerbaijani Constitution in fall 2016, the president is elected for seven years.
