ATO to transform into Joint Forces Operation on April 30 – Poroshenko
Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko has announced the transformation of the anti-terrorist operation in Ukraine's east into the Joint Forces Operation on April 30 this year.
"I think it should change – I will reveal the secret – on April 30," Poroshenko said in an interview with Ukrainian TV channels on Friday, answering the question when exactly the ATO will change its format.
"I think that at the moment this fundamentally changes the way of managing the military structure. The anti-terrorist operation is under the leadership of the Security Service of Ukraine," the head of state added.
