Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) have been coming under small-arms fire in the Donbas conflict area for five weeks, SMM Principal Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug said.
An UAV of SMM monitors came under fire last Monday, and this is the fifth consecutive week OSCE SMM drones have been coming under small-arm fire, he said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Thursday.
Ten SMM UAVs have come under small-arms fire six times from the regions controlled by the Ukrainian government and four times in the regions outside Kyiv's control since the beginning of 2018, Hug said.
