IAEA confirms observation of the Treaty on non-proliferation of nuclear weapons by Ukraine
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) after inspections conducted at nuclear facilities of Ukraine has confirmed that the country observes the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine has reported.
The inspectorate said that the IAEA inspected Khmelnytsky, Rivne nuclear power plants (NPPs) and the Shelter Facility at Chornobyl NPP.
"The IAEA said that as of December 10, 2017, no uncoordinated reports on the receipt or dispatch of nuclear materials in relation to Ukraine were received by the IAEA," the inspectorate said.
