EU, NATO memberships along with democratic system will be Ukraine's national interests
Integration of Ukraine into the European Union and NATO, along with state sovereignty and territorial integrity are the fundamental national interests of Ukraine, presidential bill (No. 8068) on the national security of Ukraine stipulates.
According to the text of the document, which was published on the Verkhovna Rada's website on Wednesday, Ukraine's integration into the European political, economic, legal space, security, membership in the EU and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the development of equal mutually beneficial relations with other states are fundamental national interests.
In addition, Ukraine's fundamental national interests are the democratic constitutional system, the prevention of interference in the internal affairs of the Ukrainian state, the sustainable development of the national economy, and civil society.
As reported, on Wednesday the presidential bill on national security was introduced to the Verkhovna Rada.
